A decade of incredible art, music, and fun have led to an epic 10th anniversary edition of San Francisco’s legendary Ghost Ship Halloween. The seminal Bay Area arts festival presents two of the greatest DJ-producers of all time gracing the decks for headlining sets and a 2017 theme that literally delivers a boatload of love. UK musical superhero FATBOY SLIM will deliver an exclusive audiovisual performance of his patented “Party Acid House” on Friday, October 27. With the gauntlet official dropped, American dance music godfather MOBY will pick it up with a career-spanning DJ SET on Saturday October 28. These two musical navigators will steer the LoveBoat through a sea of joy centered around the event’s most ebullient theme ever. With more than 100 more artists, installations, art cars, and djs still to be announced, this year promises to be Ghost Ship Halloween’s most memorable year.
With past events boasting man o’ war Ghost Ships, cruise liners, flying saucers, nuclear submarines, clipper ships, an atomic mushroom cloud and last year’s undersea Atlantis, LoveBoat’s creative team will up the ante yet again, bringing the production to new heights. Along with their megalomaniacal schemes, LoveBoat Halloween will again feature original installations by leaders of the Bay Area’s dynamic large-scale production art community including the world’s most exciting art cars, carnival rides, food trucks, multiple sound stages and a #HUSHcast Silent Disco. The soundscape of LoveBoat Halloween will be electrified with multiple stages hosted by top DJ crews featuring more than 50 of the Bay Area’s finest DJs.

Please note that LoveBoat Halloween and Ghost Ship Halloween have no relation in any way to the tragic 2016 Oakland warehouse fire. All association between our 10-year old San Francisco event and the space sometimes referred to as “The Ghost Ship” are 100% coincidental. Regardless, our family joins with all communities in empathy and solidarity with those affected by this tragedy. Our commitment to patron safety and the employment of emerging artists is unsurpassed in the Bay Area and borne out by our flawless record. LoveBoat Halloween will honor the Oakland warehouse fire victims and families by doing what we have always done: building art and spreading love. Hopefully a little love will help.
